NOVA GLITCH: competition acro wing without compromise

The NOVA GLITCH is a four-line, high‑end acro paraglider distilled from more than five years of development with world-class pilot Théo de Blic. What started as barely flyable prototypes has matured into an aggressive yet surprisingly manageable competition wing for pilots who live for modern acro flying and precision heli-connections.

H2: Concept and development
From the outset, the GLITCH was conceived as a pure competition tool tailored to de Blic’s demanding flying style, not as a mainstream product. Eight prototypes and countless trim variations later, the design team arrived at a wing that combines explosive acro performance with the predictability top pilots need when pushing stall‑to‑infinite and complex connection sequences. Positive feedback from team pilots eventually convinced NOVA to release the GLITCH as a serial acro glider.

H2: Handling and flight character
The GLITCH is engineered to perform every modern acro manoeuvre, with a special focus on heli-connections. It enters and exits rotations decisively but stays controllable, allowing pilots to fine‑tune energy and timing. Moderate brake pressure reduces fatigue in long training sessions, for example on the cliffs of Organyà, helping pilots maximise practice time without sacrificing feel.

H3: Target group
This wing is aimed strictly at experienced acro pilots. If you are not yet fully comfortable with basic helico connections (Sat to Heli, Misty to Heli, etc.), the GLITCH is too aggressive as a first acro wing. It truly comes into its own for pilots already working on new‑school tricks like Joker Cork or Cowboy and looking to sharpen transitions, consistency and competition‑level precision.

H3: Size, loading and thermalling
With 55 cells, a flat aspect ratio of 5.5 and sizes from 13 to 22 m², the GLITCH delivers full acro functionality even at relatively low wing loading. That means you do not need to size down radically to unlock stall‑to‑infinite or high‑energy tricks. Many seasoned pilots even step slightly up in size, gaining better climb in thermals while still enjoying explosive acro behaviour.

H2: Construction and durability
The canopy uses proven Porcher Skytex 38 and 40 g/m² fabrics, with robust Edelrid lines and 20 mm polyester risers. This classical, durable material mix is chosen to withstand intensive training, repeated high‑load manoeuvres and the abrasion typical in acro environments. Standard colours are red and blue, underlining the wing’s focused, no‑nonsense character.

H3: Equipment package and ordering
The GLITCH is delivered with a practical NOVA Stuff Sack, a take‑off‑size windsock and a colour‑matched repair kit for minor damage.
