BGD Breeze: Lightweight EN-B for Adventure

The BGD Breeze is a modern, lightweight EN/LTF-B paraglider designed for pilots who want to hike light, launch easily and still enjoy top-of-class performance. Born as the light version of the BASE 3, it combines stress‑free handling with serious cross‑country potential, inviting you to hike, fly, camp and repeat on every weather window.

Ride the wind with confidence
Positioned in the high-B segment, the Breeze targets intermediate pilots who already feel at home under a low-B wing and are ready to step up. Its flat aspect ratio of 5.7, 57 cells and finely tuned internal structure deliver efficient glide and excellent climb in thermals, while keeping behaviour reassuring in real, active air.

Ultra-light construction, full-size durability
Weighing just 3.3–3.9 kg across XS to ML sizes, the Breeze is up to 25% lighter than its BASE 3 sibling. BGD uses Porcher Skytex 27 g/m² cloth on both top and bottom surfaces, reinforced with 32 g/m² on the leading edge for extra robustness in high‑wear zones. Kevlar-reinforced 12 mm risers favour easy handling and long-term strength over ultra-thin, fiddly webbing.

Tech DNA from the BGD Performance Project

The Breeze is a 2.5-liner: three line levels in the centre, two at the tips. This layout cuts line drag and gives a precise, “two-liner feel” on the B/C steering. Unsheathed Edelrid Magix Pro Dry aramid lines improve trim stability and efficiency, while optimised unsupported cell groups reduce line consumption and boost performance without sacrificing cohesion.

Refined handling and progressive safety

BGD’s trademark “progressive stability” is central to the Breeze. A solid, pitch-stable centre and softer tips give informative feedback: the tips react first to turbulence, helping the pilot anticipate and prevent collapses. The reflex profile moves lift toward the leading edge, increasing collapse resistance and top-speed stability, with spirals further tamed by integrated winglets for clean exits.

Launch, land and vol-biv with ease

On launch, the light sail rises smoothly and evenly, making inflation and control intuitive even in tight mountain take-offs. At the other end of the flight, slow-speed behaviour and a sharp taper at the tips reduce stall speed, making top-landings on small, technical spots notably more forgiving – a clear asset for vol‑biv and hike‑and‑fly enthusiasts.

Target pilot and sizes

The Breeze is aimed at adventure-oriented intermediate pilots who want an accessible, high‑B glider for XC, hike‑and‑fly or vol‑biv. Four sizes (XS, S, M, ML) cover certified weight ranges from 55 to 108 kg, ensuring a balanced match for light gear setups through to standard touring kits.
